Can a Simple Act Change in the Legal System?
As a lawyer who has fought and beat countless traffic tickets, I can definitively tell you that the vast majority of these tickets are unnecessary and exist solely to generate revenue for law enforcement. This is not news to most people, but I believe we might be able to change it.
There is strength in numbers, unfortunately, people usually don’t contest their speeding tickets. But if everyone did, things might be forced to change. Some people who have looked much deeper into this than me have claimed that if everyone chose to fight their speeding tickets, the courts would not be able to handle the scheduling and the system would have to be changed. What do you think? Could such a simple concept really change the entire legal system as it relates to traffic? Can simply exercising your right to a hearing accomplish all the change in the world?
